This house was built in 1884 for Major Samuel Garth who served in the Union Army during the Civil War. It is an example of Italianate Victorian Architecture. Major Garth died in 1906 and is buried in Mount Mora Cemetery.

Turn to your right and go to Sylvanie Street. Turn left and go to 1209 Sylvanie to find the Waldo Beach House.
